Smoke Damaged from Fireplace in Toledo

This job was actually from a gas fireplace that was not properly vented. The customer had noticed, over a period of time some darkening on his kitchen ceilings. He decided to try to clean them himself. He cleaned a small test area and actually made it much worse. The soot just smeared. Being that he was planning on listing the house he decided to call SERVPRO of Sylvania/West Toledo and was very happy that he did. Not only did he save valuable time but he was able to make an insurance claim to cover much of the cost and his home was professionally cleaned and back to pre loss condition.
